I Ran my Butt Off and All I Got Was this Stinking Zero

OK, first the good news... I am so excited.  I actually won Seattle Runner Girl's National Running Day contest!  That is pretty fun!

Now the reality.  I ran 4 days last week, and went to Curves twice.  I logged 30 Weight Watchers Activity Points.  I ate within my points, I did use all my weekly points + 3 APs.  I typically do.  I was really good over the memorial day weekend.  I had lots of gardening on top of those 30 APs, that I didn't even count.  The results on the scale... A big 0... nothing lost, nothing gained.  A STINKING 0.  Yeah, I guess I should be happy it wasn't a gain, but seriously I did not deserve to maintain.  Lately my body is just not cooperating on the weight loss front like it used to.  Everyone says as you get closer to goal it becomes harder.  I always thought they meant mentally - but maybe physically as well?  So while I'm bummed that I didn't lose.  I know I'm doing the right things for myself, and I feel the best I have pretty much forever!  I fit in size 10 pants!!!  That is a win, even if the scale doesn't tell me so. 

Now... Back to the scale abuse from last week.  I stepped on the scale much less this week, so I am learning, but I was still stepping on it.  I am going to try and make this another week of no scale abuse!  You have my word.

  2. Aww crap. A zero? That sucks chica, I'm sorry. But at least you know in your head that you worked your ass off...and while it may not show on the scale, I'll bet it shows in inches somewhere. And it may show on the scales in a big way next week.

  3. Poo on the zero! But as you said, you know you are doing all the right things and this is a way of life forever, not just a diet to lose weight. So keep it up, and eventually your scale will cooperate!
